Lane Garrison Defends Joe Simpson, Says He Doesn’t Believe Gay Allegations

By Jon Boon - Radar Reporter

Lane Garrison has leapt to Joe Simpson’s defense saying he doesn’t believe the gay allegations leveled against 'Papa Joe' are true, is exclusively reporting.

The Prison Break actor, 32, who lived under 54-year-old Joe’s roof for a year before finding fame in Hollywood, told Radar that Joe is a kind-hearted family man who was an incredible influence to him as a young man determined to find fame in the acting world.

Lane credits Joe for his success and hopes all the allegations will blow over.

"I don’t believe any of the stories that suggest Joe had relationships with other men while he was married to Tina," Lane said in an exclusive interview.

"They are the perfect family, and I got a chance to see that when I lived with them first hand. I grew up with Jessica and Ashlee, and Joe and Tina were incredibly nice to me and treated me like their own son.

"Joe was especially important in my life because he helped me get to where I am today. Our families know each other well, even my sister works as one of his assistants.

"I don’t know what is going on out there in L.A., I’m shooting a movie out of town, but I don’t believe Joe is gay.

"He was always very loving towards Tina and the family are super close," Lane revealed.

As previously reported, Tina dashed to New York to confront Joe about his alleged tryst with aspiring model Bryce Chandler Hill after seeing personal pictures of them together.

That culminated in the pair thrashing out their differences in a hotel lobby.

Before that, Bryce was bragging to friends about having a gay relationship with Joe and they said he used him for fame and would laugh behind his back.

"Bryce is desperate to become famous, he’s done lots of modeling shoots and wants to become an actor," a source close to the Simpson family said.

"When he met Joe, he knew what a good job he had done in managing Jessica and Ashlee’s careers and wanted a piece of the pie himself.

"But the sad thing is, he mocks and laughs at Joe behind his back. He doesn’t care for him in the same way Joe does for Bryce.

"Bryce has been boasting about this for months, but no one believed him at the time," the source divulged.

The National Enquirer also reported that Joe hired gay male escort Joey Anderson while in New York City and they had a steamy 3-hour romp at the Mandarin Oriental hotel back in May.

"Over the course of two hours or so, we rolled around, kissed and gave each other oral," Joey told the Enquirer.

"We'd take breathers and then start up all over again. He seemed to have an insatiable appetite for sex and never really appeared tired."

Being in Jail Again Was a 'Wakeup Call'

Lane Garrison walked out of jail yesterday after two months behind bars ... and if there was one sentiment he wanted to pass on, it was, "You don't ever wanna go in this place."

As TMZ first reported, Garrison posted $50,000 bail on Friday after being locked up since April 22 for allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriend, Ashley Mattingley.

Garrison wouldn't comment on the case as he made his way out of the joint, except to say, "Everything explodes and gets bigger than its supposed to be."

The former "Prison Break" star -- who served 1.5 years in jail for vehicular manslaughter, did not enjoy his second trip to the hoosegow, saying, "Being back was a quick wakeup call. It puts you back in check."

Lane Garrison - I'm Breaking Race Barrier In Jail

Lane Garrison has become an incarcerated version of Martin Luther King Jr., trying to integrate the inmates at L.A. County Jail.

The way it works as a practical matter ... inmates traditionally stick with their own race -- they eat together, congregate together during recreational hours and so on. And sources in the Sheriff's Dept. tell us ... the separation actually keeps the jail safer.

We're told Lane is trying to crack the race barrier and he's focusing on something universal to all ... food. Lane is trying to get people of all races together during meal time and is telling friends it's actually starting to stick.

Lane is saying he's been able to get African Americans, Hispanics and Caucasians to eat together and they're talking, laughing and generally getting along.

Lane's experiment may be short-lived. He's supposed to get out of jail on June 29. He's being held on a parole hold after his domestic violence arrest last month.
